Yoriai (meeting) means people gathering and meeting. In Japanese villages from the Middle Ages onwards, yoriai was a place for people to collaborate and make various discussions and arrangements to enrich their lives together. This is where the name YORIAILab comes from.
YORIAILab is a place where patient groups, support groups, citizens, and people from industry, government, and academia involved in the development and provision of pharmaceuticals can gather and connect across borders to think about and create various collaborations . We will bring together a wide range of knowledge and experience to work on social co-creation in health and medicine . We will create an environment where as many people living with illnesses as possible can continue to develop their strengths.
YORIAILab is a community lab where, together with Clinical Trial Ambassadors , we engage in mutual learning and exchange regarding drug development, collaborate and conduct research to solve problems from the patient's perspective, and give back to society the knowledge gained through public relations and publishing, as well as promote and support patient and public engagement (PPI) in the health and medical business, and provide consultations.
