Social Media Policy

1. Social Media Covered by This Policy

This Policy applies to the official social media accounts operated by YORIAILab (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) for public relations and communications purposes, including X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and similar platforms.

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure the quality and safety of information shared through the Association’s social media channels and to promote their appropriate use.

The Association currently operates the following official social media accounts:

  • YORIAILab Official X Account

  • YORIAILab Official LinkedIn Account

 

2. Purpose of Participation in Social Media

The primary purpose of the Association’s participation in social media is to share information about YORIAILab’s activities and provide timely updates to the public while fostering communication with society.

In addition, the Association seeks to provide accurate and appropriate information regarding clinical trials, medical research, and related ethical and scientific topics, thereby contributing to reliable and trustworthy public communication.

 

3. Awareness and Responsibilities in the Use of Social Media

Social media enables two-way communication while also allowing information to spread rapidly. Therefore, members of the Association are expected to act responsibly when using social media and to recognize the potential impact of their communications on society.

 

4. Principles for Communication Through Official Social Media Accounts

When communicating through official social media accounts, the Association adheres to the following principles:

  • Transparency and Integrity: We strive to communicate openly, honestly, and transparently. Information shared through our social media channels is intended to be factual and presented in a manner that minimizes misunderstanding.

  • Professionalism: We recognize that all communications on social media may affect the reputation and credibility of the Association. Accordingly, we maintain a professional and respectful approach in all interactions.

  • Timeliness and Accuracy: While we aim to provide information in a timely manner, accuracy remains our highest priority. Information related to medicines, healthcare, and clinical trials will be communicated in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional guidelines.

  • Two-Way Communication with Users: We value constructive dialogue with users and seek to respond sincerely to comments and messages whenever appropriate. We endeavor to answer questions as accurately and promptly as possible and provide sufficient context to avoid misunderstandings.

  • Respectful Communication: The Association does not engage in harassment, defamation, discrimination, or abusive conduct. Comments containing such content may be subject to appropriate moderation measures.

5. Information for Social Media Users (Disclaimer)

Information shared through the Association’s social media channels is intended for informational purposes only and should not be regarded as professional medical, legal, or other advice.

Although we strive to share information from reliable sources, particularly regarding healthcare and clinical trials, the Association does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided.

  • Limitation of Liability: The Association shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from the use of information posted through its official social media accounts. Likewise, the Association assumes no responsibility for information provided by third parties or for the content of external websites linked from its social media channels.

  • User Responsibility: Users are responsible for evaluating and verifying information obtained through the Association’s social media channels and for making their own decisions regarding its use.

 

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights related to content published through the Association’s official social media accounts, including text, images, videos, and other materials, belong to the Association or to the respective rights holders. Unauthorized reproduction, reuse, redistribution, or modification of such content is prohibited without prior permission from the Association or the relevant rights holder.

 

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users of the Association’s official social media channels must not engage in any of the following activities:

  • Violation of Laws or Social Norms: Any conduct that violates applicable laws, regulations, or accepted social standards is prohibited. Users are expected to comply with relevant healthcare, pharmaceutical, and clinical research regulations where applicable.

  • Infringement of Third-Party Rights: Users must not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, reputation, or other legal rights of others.

  • Dissemination of False or Misleading Information: Posting false, deceptive, or misleading information is prohibited. In particular, the dissemination of healthcare or clinical trial information that lacks a scientific basis is not permitted.

  • Discriminatory or Offensive Conduct: Discriminatory, hateful, abusive, or insulting comments based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic are prohibited.

  • Unauthorized Commercial Activities: Advertising, solicitation, spam, or other commercial activities not expressly authorized by the Association are prohibited.

  • Unauthorized Reproduction or Redistribution: The unauthorized copying, reuse, redistribution, or republication of content published by the Association is prohibited. Anyone wishing to use such content must obtain prior permission from the Association.

8. Revisions to This Policy

The Association may revise this Policy from time to time in response to changes in social media operations, applicable laws, or other relevant circumstances.

Any updates will be announced through the Association’s official website and/or social media channels.
