This is the second seminar this year on patient and public engagement (PPI) hosted by the General Incorporated Association YORIAILab. We hope that this will be an opportunity to learn new things and exchange opinions and network with people from various positions. This seminar is primarily aimed at those involved in the conduct of clinical trials, but everyone is welcome to participate. Lecture: 1 hour + Think-along Workshop: 1 hour

About the event
Method of holding: This will be a hybrid event, both on-site and online.
Lecture 16:00-17:00 Realizing Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)
We will introduce case studies of efforts to realize PPI in drug development.

Using patient experiences as evidence: Research into the burden of disease and contributing the results back to society
Designing clinical trials with patients: Mock clinical trial workshop
◆ Making informed consent documents easier to understand
Informed consent documents that reflect the voices of patients and clinical research coordinators (CRCs)
◆ Designing clinical trials from the patient's perspective
Protocols that reflect the voices of patients and CRCs
◆ Making clinical trial information more accessible
Grassroots awareness and education activities for clinical trials
Preparation and publication of Japanese lay summaries
Workshop for thinking together 17:00-18:00
Together with our clinical trial ambassadors, we will come up with concrete ideas that can be implemented now regarding PPIs in drug development.
