This international forum is an annual forum where leading experts in patient involvement from various countries and regions exchange views and hold practical discussions on the ideal approach to patient involvement. It is jointly held by PFMD, EUPATI and EPF.

Article AMED Moonshot Goal 7 ELSI Column

A column YORIAILab helped write about the two issues in cancer research under Moonshot Goal 7 of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) Moonshot Research and Development Program has been published. It is an article about a dialogue between a patient group and a researcher from the perspective of patient and citizen participation . Please take a look.

Lunchtime Short Seminar No. 7

The seminar, entitled "Online Communities and the Metaverse," was held as a preparatory seminar to provide a deeper understanding of the symposium to be held on April 25th. It explained the evolution of patient understanding in the digital society and new research methods.

At the seminar held at Pharma IT & Digital Health Expo 2025 (Tokyo Big Sight), he gave a lecture titled " How to utilize patient experience data in drug development and medical settings ."

Recording: Lunchtime Short Seminar No. 1

The recording of the first lunchtime short seminar "Patient Experience Data" (lecturer: Nobutaka Yagi), held from October to November last year, has been made public on YouTube . The first short seminar was held twice, so two recordings have been made public. Although the style of the talk was slightly changed, the content was the same in both sessions.

Article: Intractable Diseases and Home Care
April 2025 issue

In the lecture entitled "Patient and Citizen Participation in Medical Research and Development - Towards Social Co-creation of Medical Research and Development" (Katsui and Unuma), YORIAILab was introduced along with PPI JAPAN, Ji4pe, and PPEC as organizations engaged in collaborative (social co-creation) initiatives that can be participated in and utilized by patients, citizens, and researchers.

Lunchtime Short Seminar No. 6

In this second installment of our series on clinical statistics, we explained the key points and methods for interpreting the results of clinical trials published in publicly available drug approval application documents and medical papers.

Lecture: Metaverse Patient Advisory Board

At the Japan Society of Clinical Trials and Clinical Trials (Place: Pacifico Yokohama), we reported on a pilot study of a patient advisory board using the metaverse (a joint study between Nippon Medical School and Boehringer Ingelheim). A follow-up study (a qualitative cross-sectional study) is planned to be conducted by YORIAILab.​​​​​

The 4th Clinical Trial Ambassador Training has begun. The first module (first half of the lecture) has been completed.

Lecture: Clinical Trial Ambassador Project

We collaborated in creating a lecture plan for the Osaka Incurable Disease Consultation and Support Center Project Citizens' Gathering Symposium (venue: EL Osaka), and gave a lecture on the significance of patient and citizen participation activities through the Clinical Trial Ambassador Project.​​​​​
