YORIAILab (Nerima-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Nobutaka Yagi / hereinafter referred to as YORIAILab) aims to create an environment where people with illnesses can develop their strengths sustainably, and provides a platform for people with illnesses, their supporters, and various other stakeholders to work together to engage in social co-creation in health care. In today's rapidly advancing highly digitalized society, the nature of patient communities has changed significantly, and health communication has become more common in addition to traditional analogue forms. Activities to develop medicines that meet patients' needs have deepened, and in order to collect Patient Experience Data (PED) more systematically, treat it as evidence, and use it in decision-making at various stages of healthcare, it has become necessary to build data sequentially and sustainably through co-creation with patients. Against this background, YORIAILab is pleased to announce that it will be holding a "Yoriau Symposium" on the theme of the value, challenges, and future vision of online communities for those with illnesses, in conjunction with the first anniversary of the company's establishment.
